Venice is easy to see and surprisingly easy to miss. Windward is built around the parts that make the neighborhood make sense together: its original canals, its strange reinventions, its creative economy, the places people actually stop, and the Pacific at the end.

This is a small-group afternoon with a clear point of view — not a rushed string of landmarks.

Founder-led, for now

A city experience should feel hosted, not processed.

Windward was founded by Ori Mor, who previously built Take Me Out NYC from a solo operation into a multi-guide experience business serving hundreds of guests a year.

He later spent years building and running live, public-facing operations for organizations including Amazon and Netflix. Windward brings those two threads back together: local hosting and disciplined execution.

Preview departures are led personally by Ori. As the product matures, local guides will be trained against the same route, research, hospitality standards and operating system.

Is this a historical walking tour?

History is part of the experience, but it is not a continuous lecture. Windward uses the history to explain the neighborhood you are actually walking through now.

Do we visit an artist studio?

Not by default. Some future departures may include a hosted visit with a local artist, maker or creative business. If a special visit is included, it will be stated on that specific departure.

How much walking is involved?

About two miles over roughly 2.5 to 3 hours, mostly flat, with uneven sidewalks, canal paths and street crossings. Tell us about accessibility needs before booking so the route can be adjusted where possible.

What happens in bad weather?

Light coastal weather usually does not change the plan. Significant rain or unsafe conditions may mean a modified route, reschedule or refund.

Can I book privately?

Yes. During the preview period, private Venice afternoons begin at $350 per group and are arranged around route and date availability.

Children or dogs?

During previews, these are handled case by case while the operating policy is being tested. Ask before booking.
